Case Overview

Under the careful guidance of the Guangzhou Municipal Education Bureau, Guangzhou Urban Construction Vocational School, as a directly affiliated secondary vocational institution, underwent a historic transformation in July 2020. Formed through the merger of three renowned institutions—the former Municipal Land and Property Management Vocational School, Municipal Engineering Vocational School, and Municipal Construction Engineering Vocational School—the new school not only inherits the fine traditions of its predecessors but has also achieved a qualitative leap in teaching and education. Working hand in hand towards shared excellence, Guangzhou Urban Construction Vocational School now stands at the forefront of vocational education with renewed vigour.

As a nationally recognised key secondary specialised school and nationally recognised key secondary vocational institution, as well as an advanced collective within the national education system and a national model collective for ethnic unity and progress, Guangzhou Urban Construction Vocational School remains steadfast in its commitment to nurturing future pillars of professional excellence.

However, confronted with challenges such as the limitations of traditional teaching methods, isolated applications, fragmented resources, and lack of information interoperability, the institution has come to realise that only through continuous innovation can it meet the demands of education in the new era.

To this end, Guangzhou Urban Construction Vocational School has partnered with the Huishi Smart School System to jointly develop a comprehensive solution centred on digitalisation and intelligence. This initiative aims to elevate the overall standards of teaching, management, services and campus life, catering to the diverse needs of students, staff, parents and administrators alike.

Featuring high-definition live streaming, educational video-on-demand, flag-raising ceremonies, information announcements, and digital lesson delivery, the Huishi Smart School System integrates advanced information technology, IoT, and artificial intelligence with campus operations. This integration successfully overcomes fragmented resources—such as hardware silos and data islands—achieving optimised allocation of educational resources. Beyond enhancing teaching quality and efficiency, the system deepens real-time interaction between staff and pupils, thereby fostering the school's holistic development.
